As we are fast approaching the start of a new school year, one of the exciting events we prepare for is Kindergarten Orientation.

I would like each and every student to feel comfortable and to look forward to coming to breakfast and lunch.  It is not only a time to nourish our bodies but to socialize with existing friends as well as make new ones!

Getting in line for breakfast and lunch can be a nerve racking experience for some children.  A few of their worries can be:

·         Is the “lunch lady” going to make me take the food I don’t like?

·         Do they have the milk I get at home?

·         What if I drop my tray?

·         Did I remember to bring my money? 

·         Do I have money on my account?

·         Do I remember my pin number? 

·         What if I forgot my pin number?

I could go on and on. . .
